We started our RV process about a year ago. We decided after Grizzly broke his leg that we wanted to travel but take the dogs with us and give them a good life. Yes, it is all about the dogs. 🙂
We went to a couple of RV shows and tons of RV dealerships. We looked at hundreds of RVs. But John and I each had our deal breakers. For me it was night stands next to our bed. John had to have theater seating that reclined with cup holders. It's strange how many RVs did not have night stands. Where would you put your phone or the bottle water in case you get thirsty in the middle of the night?
Although there were a lot of RVs with our must haves, there was something a little off with the ones we saw. They were too expensive or too big, we didn't like the layout or the floor or something. As soon as we saw our RV, though, we knew it was THE ONE. It just felt like home to us. After 3 weeks of living in it full-time, we still don't have buyer's regret. There was one thing we thought was a want but not a must have... a washer and dryer. Fortunately, the RV that we wanted had washer & dryer hook-ups so we decided to get them installed. Now, I can't imagine not having them. It's so nice doing a couple of loads whenever we want and not having to go to a laundry mat. It's such a luxury!
