San Antonio / Alamo KOA

In Blog by LynneLeave a Comment

It was time to drive to San Antonio for RV Driving School. John and I were really looking forward to this. We left around 10:00 AM for what is usually a 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive.   It took about 6 hours in the RV.  We finally made it to the RV park in the rain with minimal gas.  We were just glad we made it though.

Lessons learned:

  • Avoid driving more than 4 - 4 1/2 hours at a time.  Setting up will be much more enjoyable.
  • Start looking for a gas station at 1/2 tank.

So happy to see the KOA sign!

Cutting it too close for comfort!

The San Antonio / Alamo KOA was a really nice RV park.  The sites were close but not too close that we felt claustrophobic.  The park had RV sites, tent sites and cabins.  There was a bike trail at the back of the park where we can walk the dogs which is great.  It had a resort-like feel.  We liked it a lot.
