We moved to our 2nd campground, closer to Dallas. It was in Flower Mound and called the Twin Coves Park and Campground. We lived in Carrollton for 12 years and never knew this beautiful urban oasis existed! This campground is the ultimate in campgrounds! We were there during the week so there were only a few other campers. Our site backed-into a 180 degree view of Grapevine Lake. The lake was practically on our doorstep. The dogs loved walking down to the shoreline and playing in the shallow water. They didn't want to be near the pool in our backyard at home but all of a sudden, they became water dogs. It was so nice to see them so happy!
We were at the Twin Coves Campground for 4 nights and we loved every minute of it. We took walks along the shoreline, John rented a kayak and we sat outdoors in the evening and enjoyed our new life. The only sour spot was backing into our idyllic site. We thought we were finally experts after speaking with Zachary back at the Lake Texoma campground. But sadly, we sucked. We had no shame, though. We asked a random RVer for his help. He gave excellent instructions and John actually backed in perfectly. We highly recommend this campground and if you need help, do not be embarrassed to ask for it.
